There will be more than 30 plots in the carnival that spreads from the west end of Gothuruth and ends at the main Centre of the carnival, i.e. St.Sebastian’s School ground. The people will be standing in queue patiently get started. Sometimes, the queue may be lasted around two to three kilometers.

The carnival is usually celebrated as a kind of festival by the people of Island. The carnival is a sort of an occasion for the people to evince that their familiarity with the traditional ways of living and dress codes have not been degraded from them even if they live in modern sophisticated that their cultural affinity and adherence to the glorious past is still with them without any intact. This might lead to nonplussed notion that how the people of Gothuruth can survive without allowing the intrusion of vacuous present against a meaningful past.
